Toggl Track review.

Useful time records start with a habit, not a paid plan.

Based on official documentation. Hands-on testing: not performed. Numeric rating: not assigned.

EDITORIAL ASSESSMENT

Our take

Toggl Track is a sensible candidate for measuring how much work a project actually takes. The strongest reason to pay is a specific reporting or billing need. Its license model needs attention when a team shrinks, and inconsistent figures across its published pricing pages make the final checkout quote especially important.

A good fit for

Independent creators and small teams comparing planned work with time actually recorded.

Think twice if

You expect removing a teammate to reduce the subscription automatically, or need an unambiguous public price for every plan.

Strengths & limitations

What stands out

  • There is a free plan for basic tracking. Starter adds billable rates, saved reports, tasks, and project estimates for more structured client work. [1]
  • Premium documents time audits, locked timesheets, and required fields for teams that need more control over submitted entries. [1]

What to weigh up

  • Removing a member leaves a paid vacant license until an administrator removes that license. Billing follows the license count, not just active people. [2]
  • The free user cap is described only as limited in the current plan guide. Premium figures differ between the pricing page and billing guide; confirm limits and prices before subscribing. [1] [3] [2]

What it costs

The billing guide lists Starter at US$12 per license monthly or US$9 per month billed annually, equivalent to US$108 per year. It says European customers can be billed in EUR instead. Confirm the currency and tax total at checkout. [2]

A free option is available. We have not assigned a definitive Premium quote because the official pages disagree. Enterprise pricing is by arrangement. [1] [3] [2]

Where it fits in your work

Use separate projects for production, promotion, and administration, then compare the time totals with your own results. That is an editorial workflow suggestion, not evidence that the software increases earnings. This review covers Toggl Track, not every product in the Toggl family.

What this review does not establish

We have not tested the timer, device syncing, reports, integrations, or billing changes. We have not confirmed acceptance of adult-industry accounts or permission to upload explicit or sensitive information.

Product claims and published prices can change. The check date records when we read the sources; it is not a safety certification.

Affiliate & referral status

Toggl’s partner FAQ states a 30% commission on the first eligible payment by a referred Track organization. Later upgrades do not earn additional commission under those published terms. ATN participation and adult-industry eligibility are unverified; all links here are direct. [4]
