Buffer review.
A useful publishing queue, with costs tied to your channels.
Based on official documentation. Hands-on testing: not performed. Numeric rating: not assigned.
Our take
Worth trying if repeatedly switching between social accounts gets in the way of a consistent schedule. The free plan offers a small starting workflow. An upgrade should solve a specific queue or collaboration problem, rather than become another subscription bought in the hope of audience growth.
A good fit for
Solo creators planning a manageable set of social accounts.
Think twice if
Anyone expecting every post format to publish automatically or a scheduler to establish content permission.
Strengths & limitations
What stands out
What to weigh up
- Some formats use a notification so you can finish the post in the network’s own app. Check your exact posting workflow. [2]
- Upgrading makes every connected channel billable, including the three that were free. Free and Essentials each include one user. [1]
- Connected networks apply their own terms. Buffer’s integrations do not establish permission for a particular adult-industry use. [3]
What it costs
For one channel, the annual selector lists Essentials at US$5 per month, charged as US$60 yearly, and Team at US$10 per month, charged as US$120 yearly. These are annual-plan equivalents. More channels change the total; confirm billing frequency and tax before purchase. [1]
The free plan supports up to three channels. Paid plans offer a 14-day trial, which is separate from the ongoing free tier. [1]
Where it fits in your work
ATN would use a tool like this to plan editorial announcements and check each post before it goes out. Review captions, destinations, and the receiving platform’s current rules separately. Scheduling consistency is a workflow benefit to evaluate, not proof of reach or sales.
What this review does not establish
We have not connected accounts, scheduled posts, tested mobile notifications, or measured delivery reliability. Adult-content permission for a specific account or campaign remains unverified.
Product claims and published prices can change. The check date records when we read the sources; it is not a safety certification.
Affiliate & referral status
Buffer advertises a partner program paying 25% of qualifying subscription revenue for the first 12 months. Applications require approval. We have not established ATN’s eligibility or adult-industry approval, and do not quote an attribution window or payout minimum. This page uses direct links with no affiliate tracking. [4] [3]
