Free scans & paid searches
Limited free access
Free searches have limits on results and scans per website. The FAQ explains that another user’s searches can consume a site’s allowance. A free-scan limit therefore does not tell you how many checks your own account has performed. [2]
Premium uses search credits
The published Premium rate is 3 cents for the first 200 words and 1 cent for each additional 100 words or part. Credits are purchased in advance. The privacy section says submitted search terms are used for automated plagiarism searches and are not given or sold to third parties. It identifies WorldPay and PayPal for payment processing and says Copyscape does not access card numbers.
